On 2 September 2021, a meeting was held between the Director of the Federal State Budget Scientific Institution “Krasnodar Research Centre for Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine”, Dmitry Osepchuk, Doctor of Biological Sciences, and the Director of L.K. Ernst Federal Research Center for Animal Husbandry, Natalia Zinovieva, Academician of RAS. After a descriptive account of the main areas of the Center’s work shared by Natalia Zinovieva, it was outlined the main vectors of scientific cooperation between both sides.

Dmitry Osepchuk was further given a tour of the Center’s subdivisions. Our guest initially listened to an elaborate story by V.R. Kharzinova, PhD in Biological Sciences, the Leading Research Associate of the Laboratory of Functional and Evolutionary Genomics of Animals. Then he visited the Laboratory of Selective Control of Milk Quality, headed by Alexander Sermyagin, met with Olga Kostyunina, the Head of the Laboratory of Molecular Basis in Breeding, also learned from Alexander Lopukhov, the Research Associate of the Laboratory of Experimental Embryology about the latest achievements in the cloning of farm animals. The final stop of our tour was the farm where Dmitry Osepchuk was clearly convinced of the Center’s successful results.

The meeting was also attended by Olga Osadchaia, Deputy Director for Scientific Work Organization, Head of Information and International Cooperation Department, PhD in Agricultural Sciences, and Igor Gusev, Deputy Director for Administration, PhD in Biological Sciences.
